Screen Addict?

You may want to rethink your chid’s screen time. An MRI study was done on brains of kids who play 20 hours or more of video games per week and brains of actual drug addicts and alcoholics. What did they find? That their brain scans were alike.

Another study done found that girls ages 8-12 who constantly used their phones had a lower sense of self than girls who interacted face-to-face to communicate.

Ifyou feel your child might be addicted to technology, here are some things you can do.

  1. Involve him or her in a sport
  2. Exercise together
  3. Have the child do volunteer work
  4. Show more affection to your child
  5. Try hands on activities
  6. Play board games
  7. Laugh together
