How to help your kids complete their homework in 3 ways: Organizing, focusing, and taking breaks.
Organization
Make a list and put the most important tasks at the top of the list. Help them create detailed notes with proper headings. Show them how to look-up information from reputable sites. Create a quiet organized study space for them.
Focusing
Did you know that plants can help children focus? It’s true. Studies have found that the more involved kids are with plants in their learning space, the more focused they become on their school work. For example, have your children water the plants everyday before they begin their homework. Some other ways to improve focus are gum chewing and aromatherapy.
ADHD Kids
To help with focusing, chew gum or give them something to hold in their hand.
Brain breaks
Have your children take a break every now and then. During the break, they can do jumping jacks, play with Legos or Playdoh, do yoga / stretching, or snack on carrots or apple slices. Avoid electronic since they can be harder to transition from.
